We can use them, in theory. If kime tells us to use them on someone. Problem is there's a good chance he may ask us to use them on an ally. At that point, do we sacrifice one of us for the good of the team as a whole?

Alternate choice - lay low and say you missed the announcement. Claiming ignorance works once! There are multiple postings in thread from day 1 and day 2 about not using your secret willy-nilly. That's not going to fly.

I gave exact text.
EDIT: And speculation that I thought it was gossip.

I paraphrased saying I would have to look it up, and speculated about the category, and moved the conversation on to suspicious people like Mill, Neverborn, and Stever.

At that point, do we sacrifice one of us for the good of the team as a whole? Which means that we basically can't. In fact, they're now a liability to us Of course, they can cross reference issuer with holder too so we can't even lie or reveal them all!

I think, as soon as we figure out for sure what it looks like in the narration when two secrets of the same category are used, those who haven't said anything should claim they wasted theirs on day one.

Thank you vagrant_winds for throwing suspicion on a bunch of people that are not us.

I gave Kime the category of both the secret I'm holding and my original secret, but didn't give text. We'll see if he winds up asking for it.

Targets for tonight! Let's discuss this. Here are my thoughts.
Avoid:
stever777, KetBra, TrueNeverborn, Retaba. They have some suspicion on them. Anialos, Mill, Infidel. Their secrets are voided. Kime. No way network head goes without a guard. MrBlarney. We've offed a spreadsheeter already. MrBlarney is much less active than Jdark and I have some concern that if we kill him and not Phyphor, some suspicion will be cast on Phyphor.
People who might be good to target:
Romanqwerty and smoove operator seem to be continuing to vote for TrueNeverborn. If we offed one or both of them, that might bring more attention to TrueNeverborn. Warban argued to vote out Infidel. Of the above three, we should probably choose only one to kill. All three would make it too obvious what we're doing. Greenbarons seems to be right in the middle of activity. Posting a bit, just often enough to still be visible.
Any thoughts?

My instincts:
Romanqwerty - for the reason you state
Vagrant_Winds - threw up some analysis/suspicion on a bunch of folks who weren't us, killing him might nudge the village to start investigating them
Egos - tends to stay quiet in thread but soft networks like a fiend behind the scenes. Worth getting rid of early if we don't have other options.

when kime tells me who to guard, we should avoid that person as well. even if its him.
i wouldnt put it past him to be suspect of me and double dip on guards.
we need to figure out this secret business. mega, perhaps you should PM kime and tell him that you used your secret on alegis (before he made the declaration that no one should use their secrets) out of panic/wanting your secret to work/make up some reason you were suspicious of alegis, and offer to take it back and see what he says. he might let you off the hook, or he might let your secret fly. either way, i think it might be less suspicious then just letting it ride.

I'll PM him saying that I put in the order before the announcement because I was suspicious of Alegis intentionally tying the vote.
